A rescue shelter has hosted a photoshoot, to help some of their older, bigger and 'less photogenic' dogs get adopted.

Rehoming charity, All Dogs Matter, partnered with Wex Photo Video to highlight the important role photography plays in adopting rescue dogs.

Capturing their amazing transformation, the images include 12-year-old Bobby and 14-year-old Brandy, a bonded pair of Yorkshire Terriers who have been looking for a home for several months. Plus, they include four-year-old Staffie, Zara, who was abandoned by her previous owner after having puppies.

New research by All Dogs Matter found that 46% of Brits would feel good giving an abandoned dog a second chance at life, with a third (33%) more inclined to choose dogs waiting for a second owner for a long time.

"We see firsthand how much love and joy dogs can bring into a home. Partnering with Wex Photo Video has allowed us to show that with a little love and the right photo, these wonderful dogs can shine as brightly as any puppy," says Ira Moss, founder of All Dogs Matter.

"Every dog deserves a second chance, and we're thrilled to be part of a campaign that highlights just how special these dogs truly are."

Paul Wareham, Marketing Director of Wex Photo Video, adds: "At Wex, we've always believed that some things are better the second time around—whether it's a well-loved camera or an older dog looking for a new home. Every dog deserves their moment in the spotlight, regardless of age or appearance.

"We're proud to partner with All Dogs Matter to capture these incredible transformations and help these deserving dogs find their forever homes."

Before: Bobby and Brandy

Bobby and Brandy, a gorgeous pair of golden oldie Yorkies, were given up for adoption after a change in circumstances. They have always lived together, so are looking to be adopted as a duo.

"They are lovely dogs, a little shy when first meeting new people, but quickly come out of their shell," says the team at All Dogs Matter.

"They are can be choosy with other dogs when out, and would prefer to be the the only dogs in the home as they might find it difficult to welcome another dog into their pack."

Before: Alice

Alice (a Staffie Lab cross) arrived at the centre after sadly being abandoned. She is a sweet and friendly soul who loves to run around, play and spend time with other dogs.

The team say: "She is still a young dog and would benefit from an experienced owner who can continue her training and socialisation. Alice would like to find an active home, and enjoys long walks and meeting new friends."

Before: Brian and Cody

"Brian and Cody came to us after sadly being abandoned. They are a very sweet, very bonded pair," says the team at All Dogs Matter.

"They are young and full of life, and are looking for an owner with the time and patience to continue their training. Brian and Cody will need a house with direct access to a garden. They are affectionate and cuddly and will make a fantastic addition to a family."

Before: Snek

"Snek is a lovely affectionate boy, he enjoys cuddles and play time," says the team. "He is a lively little dog, and loves going for walks, and walks well on the lead.

"As Snek has the tendency to be a little vocal, he would not be suited to living in a flat. Snek is a delicate soul, and is looking for a new home where he can be loved."
