We’ve all been ready to drive to work, but realised that our nails don’t match our car and had to get the bus instead. Not.
In the latest chapter of bizarre beauty news, Renault has released a set of nail polishes to match its cars.
Available in the black, blue, yellow and red the brand’s Twingo cars come in, the polish can be worn to match your car, but also paint over any minor scratches on the vehicle. The latter detail making the polish slightly less ridiculous.
“In big cities, car scratches are inevitable, so we created a unique product,” the advert says.
“Introducing Twingo nail polish, a nail polish that matches the colour of your Twingo and can also be used on your car scratches.
“Make both your nails and your car shine.”
Besides ‘Twingo’ sounding more like a euphemism than a car brand in the short clip, the concept has baffled social media who can’t quite believe this is happening in 2017.
I was so confident that Renault could not have explicitly made a Twingo nail varnish for "lady drivers" but ohohohoho how wrong I was ???? pic.twitter.com/nbjFA56FBL

According to Renault, the Twingo is the “ideal choice for active lady drivers who need to get about town but who are also attentive to fashion and looks”.
“With them in mind, Renault has taken inspiration from the Twingo spirit to produce an everyday accessory that combines Renault’s hallmark style with making life easier for vehicle owners,” it added.
If we own another brand of car that doesn’t match our nail polish, god forbid, we’ll just have to get the strong men to drive won’t we?
