Reese's Just Brought Back the Seasonal Favorite That Fans 'Order Three Boxes at a Time'

Every chocolate-peanut butter candy lover has a favorite type of Reese’s. Maybe it’s the classic cups, the fun shapes, one of the limited-edition flavors, or even the mashups, like the ever-delicious Reese’s Take 5. No matter which variety you prefer, there’s one Reese’s that goes above and beyond the rest—and even Hershey’s says it’s the best of the best.

That would be the Direct from the Factory, or "Fans First," candy that ships straight from Hershey’s Chocolate World in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Not sure what we’re talking about? Maybe that’s because the Direct from the Factory Reese’s constantly sell out so quickly that you’ve never even had time to think about adding them to your cart.

Hershey’s Direct from the Factory offerings are exactly what they sound like. Instead of buying candy from your grocery store that’s been in transit and on shelves for who knows how long, you skip the middleman altogether. When you order from Hershey’s site, the goodies are shipped directly to you from the factory just days after they are made, so they arrive at their freshest. And, yes, it does make a difference.

“The best Reese's Cups I’ve ever had,” one customer said. “[They’re] so fresh, it’s a big difference,” said another customer.

Hershey’s Is Selling Freshly Made Reese’s Eggs Again for a Limited Time

For the second year in a row, Hershey’s is selling its traditional Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups as Freshly Made Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs. This time in a whopping 3-pound box. If you thought Reese’s shapes were already the cream of the crop, wait until you try these fresh-made eggs.

So, what’s the catch? Unfortunately, not everyone can experience the joy of candy straight from Hershey’s World. Reese’s Direct from Factory products are produced in very limited quantities only a few times a year, so they tend to sell out extremely quickly. And, knowing how much people love Reese’s shapes, we’d bet these seasonal treats could sell out even quicker than normal.

Additionally, Reese’s Freshly Made Eggs are a bit more expensive than traditional Reese’s. A 48-ounce box costs about $35, plus shipping. For comparison, a 39.8-ounce bag of regular Reese’s Eggs costs around $13 at Sam’s Club. However, you’re paying a premium because the candy is fresher and shipped directly to you instead of in large palettes on big shipping vessels. But customers swear they’re worth buying.

“[It] tastes so much better. [I] ordered three boxes this time,” a customer said last year.

If you want to try the Direct from the Factory Reese’s Eggs, you should get your order in sooner rather than later. Hershey’s recommends not waiting until Easter because once they’re gone, they’re gone, and there’s no telling if or when you may have another opportunity.
