Reese Witherspoon isn't often thought of as a child actor, with her breakthrough coming in 1999 cult teen film Cruel Intentions, and having made her mark as a household name in early naughties hits like Legally Blonde and Sweet Home Alabama.

But Reese's movie debut was actually at the tender age of 14 in The Man in the Moon.

Being filmed near her home, young Reese had attended an open call for extras, yet ended up landing the lead role. Now she's rediscovered a photo shoot promoting the 1991 movie in Seventeen magazine and it's so cute!

"Throwback to my very first photo shoot ever for Seventeen magazine 🤩🫶🏼 I can’t believe I found this photo."

Recalling her excitement the actor wrote; "I remember thinking I was going to pass out from excitement, because all I ever wanted was to be in Seventeen magazine. I had no idea where this journey would take me. A reminder to keep going because you never know what’s next! 💖 *shout out to my co-star Emily Warfield from Man in the Moon 💓"

And young Reese is just too sweet in the movie stills as well as in the promotional material and events.

Reese's celeb pals were quick to fill the comments, with America Fererra enjoying the blast from the past writing; "I loved this movie sooooo much!!! ❤️" While Reese's angelic looks had Gwyneth Paltrow commenting; "Look at that FACE." And Isla Fisher adding; "Your little face - so so sweet."
