Based on every bride's worst nightmare, You're Cordially Invited is the new Reese Witherspoon-Will Ferrel film about two weddings on a collision course - and no, you don't have to head to the cinema you can see it, you can watch it on Amazon Prime Video tonight. Cosy night in, anyone?
Witherspoon plays Margot, the sister of one bride, while Ferrell plays the father of the other, Jim. When they discover their loved ones have double booked the same venue, their mission is on to preserve the weekend. Think chaos, rivalry, hilarity - in other words, all the ingredients of an excellent rom-com.

What's the plot of You're Cordially Invited?
The date is 1st June and two brides are planning on getting married – only they’ve booked the same venue: a resort off the coast of Georgia. In a hilarious battle of determination, the father of one bride (Will Ferrell) and sister of the other bride (Reese Witherspoon) go head-to-head to uphold an unforgettable celebration for their loved ones. And they prove that they’ll stop at nothing – quite literally.
"There’s a lot of heart in the movie," Witherspoon has said of her new film. I think Nick [Nicholas Stoller, the director] did a great job of making sure the characters feel grounded in their family dynamics as well. I think you can recognise people who are the black sheep of their family, which is my characters, and just feel like they’re the sibling that’s never doing right and just don’t fit in. I think all of that really helps make the movie more resonant and really meaningful for people watching it with their families."
