Reese Witherspoon announces death of beloved family dog Hank
Reese Witherspoon has announced the death of her family dog, Hank.
The Little Fires Everywhere and The Morning Show actor shared the news on her Instagram Story, with a photo of the late labrador and a caption that reads: "We will miss your sweet spirit, Hank. Thank you for being the best family pet and pack leader."
Witherspoon's daughter Ava Phillippe shared a photo of Hank on her own Instagram page.
"14 ½ years of pure love & constant tail wagging," her tribute reads. "The job was 'family pet' & he excelled at it. Thanks Hanky for reminding us that every day is the best day ever."
Witherspoon had previously shared a photo of herself on a towel doing yoga, with Hank and another one of her dogs patiently watching on. She jokingly called it her "treat pose".
The actor has a few projects on the horizon, including a comedy movie called You're Cordially Invited in which she stars opposite Will Ferrell.
Although it's not out until January 2025, the film has already released a trailer, which gives fans a glimpse of all the comic chaos that ensues when two different wedding parties book the same venue on the same day.
Through her production company Hello Sunshine, she is also working with Netflix to create a documentary about female Formula 1 racing, as well as the long-awaited third season of Big Little Lies.
"We are working on it. Nic [Nicole Kidman] and I have been working on it a lot," she teased earlier this year.
Beyond Witherspoon and Kidman, the show's main cast includes big names such as Shailene Woodley, Zoë Kravitz, Laura Dern, and Alexander Skarsgård, while Meryl Streep joined for season 2. No new or returning cast members for season 3 have been announced as of yet.
