Rebekah Vardy seen at Heathrow days after Coleen Rooney jetted off to Oz
Rebekah Vardy has jetted off on a lavish holiday with her footballer husband just days after Coleen Rooney was seen leaving the UK for the jungle to star in I’m A Celeb. WAG Rebekah was spotted in Heathrow yesterday (12 November) with Jamie Vardy and headed to Dubai for a Middle Eastern escape.
Rebekah and Jamie wore comfy looking outfits that matched in colour and walked hand-in-hand through the airport. Their break comes just days after Coleen was spotted at Manchester airport where she jetted off to Australia for her stint on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! which launches on Sunday (17 November).
It was previously reported that Rebekah was ‘dreading having the Wagatha Christie saga brought back to public scrutiny’ over Coleen’s stint in the jungle.

A source told Mail Online: “Jamie is whisking Becky away to Dubai for a week during the I’m A Celeb launch. The last thing she wants is to turn on her TV to see Coleen and the prospect of Ant and Dec making light of their painful court case fills her with dread.”
However, Rebekah has denied claims that she’s left the country to avoid seeing Coleen on television. On her Instagram story, Rebekah wrote: “Oh Give it a rest! Nothing to do with it being international break!" She then played into the joke by sharing a picture on the plane alongside the caption: “Fleeing the country,” alongside a laughing and waving emoji.
Rebekah and Coleen famously fell out in 2019 and the pair then were involved in what was dubbed as the ‘Wagatha Christie’ trial. The case, which was won by Coleen came after a widely-shared social media post in October 2019, in which Coleen accused Rebekah of leaking 'false stories' about her private life to the press. Rebekah lost the libel case and was ordered to pay 90% of Coleen’s legal fees.
Whilst Coleen is reportedly the highest paid celebrity of all time on the ITV reality series, she isn’t the first WAG to have starred in it. Rebekah herself was a contestant on the seventeenth season which aired in 2017.
During that series, Rebekah was the third campmate to be voted, and so finished in ninth place. Made in Chelsea ’s Georgia Toffolo, also known as Toff, was crowned Queen of the Jungle that year.
Joining Coleen down under this year is Oti Mabuse, Danny Jones, Alan Halsall, Jane Moore, Dean McCullough, Tulisa Contostavlos, Melvin Odoom, Barry McGuigan and GK Barry.
