How to find a rare coin in your wallet:
First up, you can always check the mintage as the number of coins created is a key factor in determining its worth. You can do this by checking on the Royal Mint website.
Secondly, you could use the Change Checker Scarcity Index which combines mintage information with other data. Next, you might want to use apps like CoinSnap which employs AI to identify coins and determine their collector value.
It's also important to check the condition of the coin as those in mint are usually more valuable than worn pieces. And finally, consult an expert. They can check out a rare coin retail price guide from PCGS.com or NGCcoin.com.
