Many of us don't use physical cash nowadays.

It can feel much easier to tap on your contactless card rather than counting out change. But there can be a lot more value in using coins.

That's because bronzes and silvers can be a lot more valuable than the number they display on the front. There are plenty of rare or limited edition pieces out there that are worth a pretty penny.

Wondering how you can spot one? Look no further than @CoinCollectingWizard on TikTok. The coin connoisseur revealed four key pieces to look for.

They told their 152,000 followers: "Check out these coins, they can make you millions."

He then discussed the 1935 Crown, saying: "Look for the raised edge around the sides of these coins, it's what makes it real... It's easy to identify a 1935 Grazed Edge Crown because the rim comes out. This one's worth £700."

Next up is the 1983 New Pence, which could make you £1,500 thanks to a quirky design tweak during that year. He said: "In 1983 the Royal Mint began the process of changing the inscription from New Pence to Two Pence." If you've got this particular coin, you could make £1,500.

The third piece mentioned was the 1933 One Penny. Its rarity alone could make you minted, with a potential price tag of more than £130,000.

Finally, the TikTok user claimed the Aquatics 50p coin from the London 2012 Olympics could bag you an impressive £2,000.

They revealed: "A handful of this original design was put into circulation, but it was then adapted quickly to show the face underwater, with so few of the design out there, it means the coin's value has pushed up significantly."

So what are you waiting for? It's time to check your change!
