In the build up to the big day, nothing quite says 'IT'S CHRISTMAS' like listening to merry music on repeat and digging into a festive sandwich.

And while we all know Justin Bieber's Christmas album is the best when it comes to December tunes, which festive offering takes the top spot in the sarnie stakes?

Annual Christmas Sandwich Tasting 2017

So who's got the best Christmas sandwich of 2017? Tune into our annual blind taste test to find out...

The crumbly stuffing, succulent turkey and cranberry sauce lovingly cuddled in two slices of bread are key elements in this Christmas sandwich competition, but which retailer comes out on top?

To find out which bread cuddle (side note: that sounds like a dream tbh) is worth getting for your lunch this year, Cosmopolitan UK decided to call in offerings from the high-street, and blind taste test them all.

The sandwiches on trail included Pret A Manger's Very Merry Christmas Lunch, Costa's Christmas Club Sandwich, Starbucks's Three Cheese and Cranberry Panini, Benugo's Pulled Ham and Smoked Cheddar Christmas sandwich, Waitrose's Christmas Edition Turkey Sandwich, Sainsbury's Christmas Dinner In A Brioche Roll, Tesco's Vegan Bubble and Squeak Roll, Marks & Spencer's Vegan Chestnut Roast Wrap, Aldi's Turkey Feast With Pigs Under Blankets and EAT's Full Works Bloomer.

So, the outcome? Starbuck's meat-free offerings went down an absolute treat for vegetarians, Benugo was a clear winner on the turkey offerings, and Tesco for their pulled pork creation.

It’s here (and yes, it’s vegan)

As for the not-so-impressive bunch? Sorry M&S and Sainsbury's; maybe you'll have better luck next time?
