Queen Consort pulls out of engagements due to harsh weather amid recent cold snap
The Queen Consort, Camilla, has cancelled her plans to visit the British Racing School to mark its 40th anniversary after her travel plans were disrupted by the cold weather.
"Her Majesty is of course very sorry not to be able to attend and will hope to find another date to visit in due course," a Palace spokesperson said.
Camilla, 75, was also set to unveil a painting at the British Sporting Art Trust in Newmarket, Suffolk, after her now cancelled visit to the British Racing School.
The decision was made on Thursday morning when the weather was reviewed and alternative arrangements couldn't be made.
In February, the Queen Consort had to postpone a visit to the West Midlands after contracting an illness and later testing positive for COVID, from which she has since recovered.
The trip would have been her first public appearance since the Royal Family's official website was updated to reflect the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's children's new titles, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Archie and Lilibet are now listed on the line of succession page as Prince Archie of Sussex and Princess Lilibet of Sussex.

'Celebrating female achievements'
Camilla was in London on Wednesday, hosting a reception to mark International Women's Day as president of the Women of the World Festival.
In a social media post, Camilla highlighted the importance of the day and said: "International Women's Day is a day to celebrate female achievements, to encourage and inspire one another, and to thank the women in our lives for their contribution to society."
Official royal social media accounts highlighted the "remarkable women" the Queen Consort has met during the past 12 months such as the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.
