A psychic who calls on spiritual and planetary forces to predict the most successful days to find love has identified some of the most romantic days in this year’s calendar.

A great believer that focussing thoughts can also make desired events happen – a process known as ‘manifesting’ – Inbaal Honigman, 47, says key dates for romance to happen are written in the stars. And looking for new love under a new moon is highly recommended, according to Inbaal, who lives in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, with her husband and four children and first offered her services at a psychic fair when she was 25.

“New moons are a really important time of the month because they symbolise new beginnings, so if you’re seeing someone for a first date then you’re going to skew the odds slightly in your favour by planning it for the new moon," she said.

“We’re in a different sign each month so, for this month, the new moon is in Aquarius - a sign for intellectual pursuits, so if you plan a first date for the Aquarius new moon, which is on February 1, then to skew it further in your favour, plan a date to the opera or a museum, something that involves an intellectual activity.”

Originally from Israel, Inbaal says she grew up in a family without any strong spiritual beliefs.

“I was raised not believing in mystical stuff,” she said. “As a family, we went to synagogue once a year to keep my great grandad happy, but I had no spiritual leads at all.

“Still, I always knew I had some sort of spiritual gift. At school, when a teacher asked a question, I would always know the answer. Everyone thought I was just a clever girl, but it was stuff I had no prior knowledge of.

“If we played a game of ‘What’s under the cups?’ or ‘Which hand am I holding an item in?’ I always got it right. But it was only when I was 20, when I left Israel, that I discovered tarot cards.

“Family and friends were sceptical at first and people are always asking me to prove my gifts and requesting readings. The proof, however, is in the things that have happened since then. I don’t just do predictions, I also manifest and I have manifested many events in my life," she said.

“During the financial crash, I somehow managed to sell my flat in London to move to Yorkshire and made the move just four days before I gave birth to my firstborn. I was also told I was infertile, but managed to conceive my first two children naturally. I manifested my little family.”

Fine-tuning her craft, Inbaal started to offer tarot readings and became a psychic in 2000.

Now a regular guest on daytime TV show Steph’s Packed Lunch as a lunchmate, she is adamant that astrology can be used to help us find love. Full moons, for example, bode well for people in established relationships.

“The full moon is a time for a relationship that has already been established, perhaps to plan a trip together or to move in together. Pisces is one of the most romantic signs, so a very romantic day this year is September 10, the Pisces full moon. This would be a very good day for a proposal.”

Each day of the week can also influence romance, as they are all named after gods and goddesses, according to Inbaal.

“Friday is named after Freyja, the goddess of love, and is the perfect day to plan a first date. You really increase your chances of getting a second date by picking a Friday. Tuesday is named after Mars, the war God, so not a good time for a first date, but perhaps a good time for a hook-up, because the energies are fiery.”

But Saturdays are a new dating blackspot. Inbaal said: “Saturday is named after Saturn, which is a very serious and mature god. It’s a time to make big plans, but not for finding new love.”

With the rise in online dating, Inbaal says that when Mercury is in retrograde, it is more important than ever to steer clear of first dates. “You should probably avoid meeting new people as much as possible during this time. Mercury is the planet of communication and it affects the way we talk.

“When Mercury is in retrograde we might say something but mean something else and end up insulting the person we were trying to compliment. Mercury also affects social media, emails and everything to do with communication. We could send a message and end up sending a nude to our mum instead of the person we’re trying to reach, or we could end up forgetting to press send on an important message.

“With online dating, you have to be careful, because one false move and you could get blocked and you’ll never see them again.”

So, romantics take heed, as Mercury is currently in retrograde, although that ends on February 3 and will not start again until May 11.

Inbaal continued: “The stars intel, they do not compel, which means you use what you like within astrology to help you along, but you don’t take onboard any of the worrying predictions and agonise over them.

“If a prediction doesn’t sound like something in your favour, leave it at the door. That extends to my work with manifesting, you just need to focus solely on the positives, and you will have a wonderful year.”
