PSA: all four seasons of The Simple Life are available to watch right now
Aside from quizzing, puzzling and colouring, we're all doing a lot of tv watching at the moment. And who can blame us? From Normal People to White Lines, the offerings are good.
And what better to add to the line-up than a healthy dose of nostalgia? Thankfully, Hayu is full of the best reality TV and nostalgic entertainment going. Here's our pick of the best of Hayu.
The Simple Life
If you don't remember, the show follows heiress-socialites Paris Hilton (aka the original influencer) and Nicole Richie as they travel across America in an RV, trying their hands at various jobs from cleaning rooms at a nudist resort, being fisherwomen at a crayfish farm, to assisting on work at a morgue.
It's hard to imagine a time before the Paris and Nicole feud of 2005 but in the early 2000's Paris and Nicole and their low-rise jeans, velour tracksuits and coloured clip-in extensions, were the most iconic duo going. They gave us catchphrases like "That's hot", the "sanasa" song and an endless supply of exceptional memes. What better way to spend your time than brushing up on butterfly clips and chunky highlights?
Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club
Remember when Lindsay Lohan went viral dancing in a bar in Greece? Well this show is the backstory behind that video. In summer 2018 MTV started filming a reality TV show in Lindsay's newly opened Lohan's Beach Club in Mykonos. The show follows Lohan as she manages her change in career, her new business and a bar staffed with hot, young bartenders all housed in a luxury villa together. What could go wrong?
Keeping up with the Kardashians S1
Vintage Kardashian is the best version; back when it was all about thin brows and bodycon dresses. This is the footage the Kardashian-Jenners wish didn't still exist, before they became luxurious super moguls, when they were the American version of the Osbournes, except with a lot more ruched satin and rah-rah skirts.
Chasing The Saturdays
The show follows The Saturdays back in 2013 when they tried to take America. The dolly shoes were in full swing, the eyelashes were colossal and Frankie's sweeping pixie crop was nothing if not iconic. Stunning.
When the show premiered in the UK it was a big reality tv hit, with more viewers that Kourtney and Khloé take Miami. Look out for some dodgy outfit combos, plus some cameos from Marvin Humes and one or two of the lads from The Wanted. Bet you forgot about them didn't you?
The Real Housewives
New Jersey, Orange County, New York, Atlanta, Beverley Hills and so many more. There are more real housewives on here than you even thought possible. Start with Orange County, where the franchise all began, for hideous wealth, lunchtime injectables and self-identified 'milfs'.
