Priyanka Chopra channels one of Princess Diana's most iconic looks at Cannes

Diana, Princess of Wales (AKA Princess Diana) is a timeless fashion icon, with the likes of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle consistently serving stylish sartorial nods to their late mother-in-law. Now Priyanka Chopra, is the latest celebrity to pay tribute to Diana, revealing that her Cannes wardrobe is inspired by the royal icon.

Overnight, Priyanka shared a throwback photo of Diana at Cannes in 1987, showing the princess wearing a strapless chiffon Catherine Walker gown, finished with a matching scarf draped around the neck and a pair of stunning diamond and blue sapphire drop earrings.

Her caption? "CANNES".

Yup, it's no secret she's looking to Princess Di for inspiration, with the new Mrs Chopra-Jonas stepping out at the Festival hours later in a very similar-styled number:

Priyanka shared a series of photos to her Instagram, showing the newlywed wearing a strapless ivory jumpsuit, with a fitted bodice and luxurious pleating on each trouser leg.

The look was then finished with a matching cape, attached with a single strap around the neck.

Naturally, Priyanka added her own spin on the look, accessorising with a pair of neutral pumps, sunglasses and smaller, understated earrings.
