They’re sixth and seventh in line to the throne respectively.

But princesses Beatrice and Eugenie let their hair down for a night out in New York last night – showing off their very different royal party styles in the process.

Elder sister Princess Beatrice of York, 25, looked Christmas party-ready in a festive green Jonathan Saunders dress for the Charity Water Gala in New York.

The pretty royal styled her designer frock with a black tassled clutch bag and T-bar Mary Jane wedges.

The Queen’s granddaughter has worn the Scottish fashion designer’s skater-style dress before, at a royal appearance in January 2013.

The princess was joined by her little sister, 23-year-old Eugenie, at the NY gala which was held to raise awareness of safe drinking water around the world.

The brunette – who’s recently re-located to the Big Apple for her new job in an auction house – worked festive fashion in a black lace dress.

Prince Andrew’s daughter teamed her lacy, frill-hem frock with black opaque tights, shoe boots and a slick of red lipstick.

Both girls donned a classic smokey eye for the New York party and showed off their glossy, straight locks.
