Princess Kate Glows in a Sheer Powder-Blue Dress With Polka Dots at Palace Garden Party
Princess Catherine of Wales just pulled a stunning monochrome look from her royal closet to attend a garden party at Buckingham Palace.
She joined fellow royals and guests at the fête today in celebration of King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s coronation. For the occasion, Princess Kate wore a powder-blue Elie Saab dress with polka dots all over, long sleeves, and a bow at the neckline. The sheer piece included a matte slip underneath and featured an airy layered tulle skirt.
The princess further elevated the look with silver pointed-toe heels and a beautiful Philip Treacy hat with a large flower on one side in the same dusty-blue hue as the dress. She then added some sparkle with silver hoop earrings embellished with light blue crystals, a silver clutch, and her diamond-and-sapphire engagement ring, which once belonged to Princess Diana.
Kate wore the same exact look—though with different earrings—to attend Royal Ascot with Prince William in 2019.
This is hardly the first time the princess has repeated looks at major royal events. Just this past Sunday, she re-wore a bold red suit, which she debuted last year, to attend King Charles’s coronation concert. The sleek Alexander McQueen ensemble was comprised of a plunging, asymmetrical wrap blazer and matching flared trousers.
And this April, to celebrate Easter with her royal family, Kate brought back a royal-blue Catherine Walker coat that she wore for the Commonwealth Service in March of last year.
