While we've all been busy obsessing over 2021's best celebrity Halloween costumes, we seem to have missed perhaps the cutest costume of the year – baby August's. Yep, as it turns out, the Royal celebrated his very first Halloween with a rather adorable monster costume, which mum Princess Eugenie took to Instagram to show off.

Sharing the photo of her son in his first Halloween costume with her 1.5 million Instagram followers, Eugenie said: "🎃 👻... wonder what they are talking about," referencing the cuddly toy that August is playing with. In the photo, August is wearing a very fluffy blue monster onesie, with white fangs and orange ears.

The photo clearly went down a treat with Royal fans, who took to the comments section to share their appreciation. "Aww little August understood the assignment" said one fan, with another adding "Aww so sweet! Happy Halloween." Even Eugenie's brother-in-law, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, had something to say about August's outfit, commenting: "🤣❤️."

Over on her Story, the Royal gave fans an insight into how she celebrates Halloween at home, revealing she'd enjoyed a spot of pumpkin carving and an autumnal walk. She also posted a pic of her firstborn on her Story too, along with the caption: "At least my little Halloween monster is scary." How cute!?

But, it's not the first time the Royal Family have been known to celebrate the spooky season. Back in 2019 Kate Middleton was seen popping into a local Sainsbury's and browsing the Halloween costumes with Prince George (then six-years-old), and Princess Charlotte (then four-years-old).

Despite having a bodyguard with her who requested no pictures be taken, one sneaky shopper still managed to pap Kate at the self-service checkouts. After all, who could resist snapping a pic of the Royals doing something so down-to-earth!?

Talking about Kate's visit to the Hardwick village store, fellow customer Kathy Whittaker said: "She was with Charlotte and George looking at Halloween outfits while her bodyguard was watching people with phones and telling them no pictures. I managed to get the photo as she was at the self service checkout."

The eye witness added, "It was so lovely to see her doing normal stuff that you and I do. She is always beautiful. You don’t expect to see that when you go shopping! I couldn’t concentrate on my shopping."

We don't blame you Kathy.
