Princess Eugenie and Sarah Ferguson Shared Adorable Photos for the Duchess of York's Birthday
Over the weekend, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, celebrated her 63rd birthday. To mark the occasion, both Fergie and her equally social media savvy daughter, Princess Eugenie, took to Instagram to share a few sweet snaps, giving us all a little window into the private life of the royals.
On the big day, Eugenie posted a series of photos of Ferguson out in nature with herself, as well as her older sister, Princess Beatrice, and Eugenie's husband, Jack Brooksbank.
"Half an hour left to go of October 15th 2022 but better late than never.. Happy Birthday my dear mumsy!" Eugenie wrote in a caption for the post.
Ferguson also posted a set of photos of her own—albeit with some slightly different family members. Ahead of her birthday, Sarah shared a series of images of herself playing with two corgis. Though they aren't specifically identified in the photos, the pups are almost certainly the late Queen Elizabeth's beloved dogs, Muick and Sandy.
Ferguson, who is the ex-wife of Queen Elizabeth's son, Prince Andrew, lives with the prince at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, and became a co-guardian of the queen's four-legged friends after the monarch passed away in September. "The Duchess bonded with Her Majesty over dog walking and riding horses and even after her divorce, she would continue her great friendship with Her Majesty, by walking the dogs in Frogmore and chatting," a source close to Prince Andrew told The Telegraph at the time.
Based on the photos, it seems that Ferguson is loving having the dogs around as much as the Queen reportedly did during her life; in fact, in another post, she referred to the furry duo as "The presents that keep giving.."
