Princess Eugenie has posted a moving tribute to her big sister, Princess Beatrice, on Instagram, following the 31-year-old's wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on Friday, 17 July.

Eugenie shared a series of beautiful snaps of Beatrice and Edoardo, taken in the grounds of Royal Lodge at Windsor by photographer Benjamin Wheeler, following their private ceremony at The Royal Chapel of All Saints.

In the first picture, a beaming Beatrice looks out into the distance while her adoring new husband smiles down at her.

Eugenie also included three further wedding snaps, which have already been shared on the official @TheRoyalFamily Instagram account, including a lovely photo showing the moment Bea and Edo walked out of the Chapel as husband and wife.

In the accompanying caption, 30-year-old Eugenie began with a cute play on words, writing: "Couldn't Bea happier (get it) 🐝... ⁣What a complete joy and privilege to watch you, my beautiful big sister, walk down the aisle to dear Edo."

Showing just how strong the sisters' bond truly is, Eugenie continued: "I am so proud of you and I'm so excited to support you in the next chapter of your life. We are going to have so much fun together. ⁣

⁣"Happy wedding day to you both xxxx."

Unsurprisingly, the post has already proven a huge hit with royal fans, who have inundated it with likes and messages of congratulations to Beatrice and Edoardo.

The happy couple had been due to wed on 29 May at The Chapel Royal in St James's Palace but, like many others, were forced to postpone their nuptials as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Instead, they had a small private ceremony attended by close family, including Beatrice's grandparents, the Queen and Prince Philip, and abiding by government guidelines.

Many congratulations to Beatrice and Edoardo!
