Princess Beatrice’s Husband Loves Quiet Luxury
Over the years, fans of the royal family have gotten glimpses into the more private sides of royal life, catching occasional glimpses inside some of the family’s private spaces at Sandringham, Kensington Palace, and Anmer Hall (Prince William and Kate Middleton’s country retreat). However, there are plenty of royal residences we’ve seen little of, particularly those of the non-working royals like Princess Beatrice. In a new interview with AD Middle East, though, Beatrice’s husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, offered a few hints at what the designs style of their home might entail—and it’s right in step with the old money aesthetic.
“To me, the beauty of imperfection is quiet luxury,” he told the publication. “I love [old] things that have been restored; human-made rather than machine-made—they’ve got soul, they’ve got energy. That’s got far more value.”
Better known as Edo, Mozzi knows a thing or two about value. In addition to being the husband of a princess and a father of three, he’s also the founder, CEO, and creative director of the property company Banda. Specializing in luxurious properties, Mozzi founded Banda in 2007 at the age of 23, taking the name from the Swahili word for “house.”
When he’s not working in real estate, Mozzi certainly keeps busy with his branch of the royal family. He’s frequently seen accompanying Princess Beatrice to official events. He and Beatrice just welcomed their second daughter—Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi—together earlier this year; she joined their older daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, who was born in September 2021, as well as Edo's son, Christopher Woolf (known as “Wolfie”), from a previously relationship.
