Prince William Breaks His Silence on King Charles' Cancer Diagnosis and Kate Middleton's Surgery

Prince William broke his silence on his father King Charles' cancer diagnosis and his wife Kate Middleton's recent hospitalization. Speaking during London's Air Ambulance Charity Gala Dinner last night (February 7), William said "I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you also for the kind messages of support for Catherine and for my father, especially in recent days. It means a great deal to us all." He then joked, "It's fair to say the past few weeks have had a rather 'medical' focus, so I thought I'd come to an air ambulance function to get away from it all!"

Prince William's comments comes amid his brother Prince Harry visiting King Charles, but unfortunately the estranged brothers didn't reconnect—despite a source telling The Mirror that "If the opportunity were to arise to see the Prince of Wales then the Duke would have gladly accepted it."

Meanwhile, an "old school friend" of the brothers told The Daily Beast that "The idea that William and Kate are ever, ever going to let Harry back into their lives, or trust him with any personal information ever again is a total fantasy. It’s simply not possible to exaggerate how bad and how damaged the relationship is, and how angry William is at Harry for betraying him for money.”

It's unclear when/if Prince Harry will return to England to visit King Charles again, but here's to tentatively hoping he and William reconnect then?
