Prince Harry and Meghan Markle make 'very deliberate' decision after 'petty' moment
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made a 'very deliberate' decision to keep a low profile in recent weeks, according to a royal expert.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have both been outspoken since stepping down from royal duties and relocating to the US in 2020. The pair are known to openly back charitable causes, using their platforms to champion what they believe in, and have also struck up a series of media deals with the likes of Netflix and Spotify –leading to some headline-grabbing releases.
However, Harry and Meghan have been noticeably quiet in recent weeks and have made no direct announcements. News.com.au reporter Bronte Coy, appearing on the Sun's Royal Exclusive show, has a theory she thinks may explain the sudden change.

"I do think it is very deliberate that they didn't say or release anything, really," Coy said. "Because these things have been in the diary for so long – The King's tour [of Australia] and William's homelessness project.
"And I just think that there's been so... the optics are so bad, where there's been a couple of announcements that have coincided with things like Kate's finishing up her chemotherapy video, [I] think there was an announcement that day from the Sussexes.
"Even if it is not deliberate from them that they've been released at the same time, the optics are that it's quite petty."

Coy added that these events were "really well publicised" and Harry and Meghan would have been aware of them, so may have chosen to steer clear of certain diary dates before making any major announcements.
It comes following news that the royal couple have 'gone their separate ways' in their professional dealings. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been taking on more solo engagements in recent months in a bid to build their own individual brands.
For Harry, 40, that has meant focusing on his charitable interests while Meghan, 43, has stepped back from the limelight to concentrate on building her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard. The brand will be supported by a new Netflix show next year with the Duchess seemingly pouring her energy into making it a success.
Harry's travels have taken him to the UK for the WellChild awards and to Africa where he was updated on the success of his Sentebale charity which he co-founded to support young people with HIV or AIDS. He also attended a UN event in New York and addressed a NATO meeting about his Invictus Games initiative.
