Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated Lilibet Diana's first Thanksgiving last week, a special milestone for the little one, who was born in June of this year. The holiday marks the first Thanksgiving that the Sussexes have celebrated as a family of four, which they chose to spend at their home in Montecito, California.

Earlier this month, the Duchess of Sussex revealed their family plans for the occasion whilst appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "I love to cook, we'll be [at] home and just relax and sort of settle in," she told the show's host. "It's our second Thanksgiving [at] home [in] California, so it will be nice."

The former Suits actor is a big fan of the American holiday, and prior to deleting her Instagram account and lifestyle blog (The Tig), she used to share photos and recipes of the food she prepared for the big day. Some of her favourite Thanksgiving dishes included oven roasted chicken breast with mushroom and leek gravy and side dishes of roasted acorn squash wedge salad and almond butter bites. Anyone else feeling hungry all of a sudden?

As well as spending Thanksgiving at home with their two children, five-month-old Lilibet and two-year-old Archie Harrison, Prince Harry and Meghan are expected to celebrate Christmas in California as well – despite initial rumours that the Sussex family would fly over the pond to spend Christmas with the Queen and other Royal Family members at the Sandringham Estate.

The last time the Sussexes celebrated Christmas at Sandringham was 2018, 13 months before they announced they were stepping down as Senior Royals.

Other Royals who'll join the Queen at Sandringham include Prince Charles, Camilla Parker-Bowles, Prince William, Kate Middleton and, of course, the Cambridge children, Prince George (8), Princess Charlotte (6) and Prince Louis (3).
