Prince Harry 'likely' to meet King Charles next week amid his return to the UK

It's looking 'likely' that Prince Harry will have a heart-to-heart with King Charles III next week as he makes his way back on to British soil. Royal insiders are buzzing with the news that the Duke of Sussex is set to jet off from sunny California to London for a very special occasion.

Harry's flying in to honour the Invictus Games' 10th anniversary at a service in St Paul's Cathedral on May 8, a cause close to his heart since its inception in 2014.

Touching down in London on Tuesday, Harry's planning a brief three-day stay and is expected to check into a hotel following his Frogmore Cottage exit last June. The trip marks his second UK visit this year, straight from his February fly-by to spend time with King Charles just after the world learned of the monarch's cancer diagnosis.

Sources have revealed that the father and son are eager for a reunion, with King Charles reportedly carving out time in his packed schedule for a catch-up. They said: "Harry has kept in regular contact with his father on several occasions and made no secret of his desire to see him when he can. He has been especially concerned about him and hopes the King will be well and able to see him as planned."

Adding to the speculation, a PR expert with a keen eye on Royal affairs has hinted that a meet-up between Prince Harry and King Charles during the upcoming UK visit is more than just a possibility.

Public relations expert Lynn Carratt revealed to The Mirror: "The two will be in London, just two miles apart, as King Charles, while it won't be confirmed until the day, will likely host the first Kings Garden party of the summer and Harry will be attending the Invictus Ceremony at St Paul's."

She continued: "Both events are scheduled to finish around 6pm, leaving time for an evening meeting. Given that Harry had last visited the UK after his father's cancer diagnosis, it seems probable that they would want to meet."

Addressing rumours about a possible reunion with Prince William, Lynn added: "However, it seems unlikely that Prince William will be part of the reunion. He is likely to be out of London and has engagements booked in for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly for next Thursday or Friday."

She concluded: "Though Prince Harry is said to be travelling alone, it would have been nice if he could bring his children along to spend some time with their grandfather, but it seems unlikely at the moment."
