The royal kids are celebrating Christmas!
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis joined the rest of the royal family this morning, walking to church at the Church of St Mary Magdalene, near Sandringham. This is Prince Louis's third time attending Christmas church services (he made his debut in 2022), while his siblings both joined for the first time in 2019.
For the occasion, the family color coordinated: Princess Charlotte wore a navy coat and green bow, matching her mom, Kate Middleton, while both Prince George and Prince Louis were in matching navy suits and green and blue check ties.
Princess Charlotte held hands with her father, Prince William, while Prince Louis held onto his mom's hand.
As per royal family tradition, the royal kids likely didn't open their presents this morning, but last night on Christmas Eve. Prince Harry wrote in his memoir Spare about the royal family's Christmas Eve traditions: "We were at Sandringham in a big room with a long table covered with white cloth and white name cards. By custom, at the start of the night, each of us located our place, stood before our mound of presents. Then suddenly, everyone began opening at the same time. A free-for-all, with scores of family members talking at once and pulling at bows and tearing at wrapping paper."
Earlier this month, all three Wales siblings joined their parents at Kate's Christmas Carol service at Westminster Abbey. Christmas, the Princess of Wales wrote in a letter to guests at the service, is one of her favorite times of year. She continued, "is a time for celebration and joy, but it also gives us the opportunity to slow down and reflect on the deeper things that connect us all. It is when we stop and take ourselves away from the pressures of daily life, that we find the space to live our lives with an open heart, with love, kindness and forgiveness—so much of what the Christmas spirit is all about."
