Pregnant Chrissy Teigen Had To Be Sewn Into Her Oscars 2016 Dress

Considering Chrissy Teigen is heavily pregnant with her first child, you’ve got to respect her for even making it out to the Oscars last night. Most of us would way rather curl up in front of the TV with a cuppa, as squeezing a baby bump into a restrictive (and no doubt seriously uncomfortable) designer frock isn’t all that fun.
But the model, who’s married to singer John Legend, didn’t just manage to get into a bump-skimming Marchesa number, she slayed it and simultaneously took maternity fashion to a whole new level.
It did take some effort though. The mum-to-be admits she had to be sewn into the ensemble - and we’re not surprised. After all, we don’t imagine a jaw-droppingly expensive number like this one has an easy fastening mechanism.
Teigen shared a photo ahead of the ceremony of two seamstresses working away at the intricate embellishments on the gown from below her “#Oscars belly.”

Teigen wasn’t the only pregnant start to hit up the Oscars 2016 red carpet. Emily Blunt was another star who proved that it’s possible to look even better when you’re with child.
Making her red carpet debut just a month after announcing her happy news to the world, the British star made sure her baby bump looked prim and proper in a pale pink Prada dress that gently skimmed over her stomach.
The “Devil Wears Prada” star looked undeniably radiant in the empire-waist gown and accessorised with dangling statement earrings, soft waves and natural make-up.
