Prada Opens New Boutique in Troy, Mich.
Prada has opened a new store in Troy, Mich., within the city’s shopping destination, The Somerset Collection. It’s the Italian luxury brand’s first store in Michigan.
The concept of the new boutique is defined by a bright facade bathed in backlight, with crisscrossing lines creating green triangular shapes that echo the brand’s classic logo. The entrance, framed with large windows, allows a glimpse into the 4,250-square-foot space.

Among the luxury boutiques at The Somerset Collection are Balenciaga, Chanel fragrance and beauty, Dior, Hermès, Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, Moncler, Saint Laurent and Versace.
Prada’s interior is characterized by the brand’s iconic design elements such as the black and white checkered marble floor — inspired by the original Prada store in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan — and by the signature green color, outlined on the walls by black profiles. Velvet seats of the same green tone complete the space.
The new space showcases the women’s and men’s collections including ready-to-wear, leather goods, footwear and accessories. It opened with classic Prada items and the holiday 2024 collection.
The ready-to-wear offering for women comprises classic Prada silhouettes and materials, tailored sets and dresses in sablè, poplin shirting, and an assortment of separates in brushed canvas and denim. A selection of leopard print and napa leather handbags are on display, complemented by slingbacks, boots and loafers in an array of prints and colors.
The men’s ready-to-wear selection is characterized by velvet denim, checkered wool and canvas garments in natural shades ranging from warm brown to mineral tones. Worn finishes and relaxed fits complete the mood. Footwear is offered in sleek spazzolato leather and vitello leather shoulder bags and crossbodies complement the grouping.
