Popular supermarket snack 'that could cause sickness and diarrhoea' recalled
Brits have been issued an important alert after a popular supermarket snack was pulled from the shelves. Sour Cream and Onion Flavour Chips from Boundless have been recalled due to a possible health risk.
The 80g packets, sold in leading UK retailers including Asda, have been whipped off the stands because they contain milk which is not mentioned on the label, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) has announced.
Boundless claim to be "gut happy snacking," but milk intolerant consumers who tuck into the chips without seeing the recall warning first could suffer symptoms including stomach pain and discomfort, as per NHS guidance.

Affected individuals may experience diarrhoea or constipation, as well as feelings of nausea or vomiting. Symptoms of milk intolerance can appear within minutes or several hours after consuming products containing lactose.
Boundless say point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
The chip company's advice to consumers is that if you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead, return it to store for a refund.
