Pop sensation Mimi Webb has shared a heartfelt tribute to a Channel 4 star who was found dead alongside his girlfriend earlier this week.

Daniel Duffield, known for his appearance on the show 999: On The Frontline, was identified by authorities as one of the victims in a suspected double homicide that occurred on Tuesday. The 24 year old paramedic's body was discovered at a property in Cannock, Staffordshire.

Alongside him was 22 year old Lauren Evans, believed to have been his partner, also found deceased.

A murder probe has been initiated by the police into the couple's untimely demise, and they've also referred themselves to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) due to prior interactions with the police. While formal identification is pending and it remains unconfirmed if they are pursuing any suspects, the investigation continues.

His late girlfriend Lauren, thought to be a trainee medical nurse, also seemed to be a fan of Mimi, with social media posts indicating plans to attend her tour.

Chelsea Louise, Daniel's sister, shared an emotional message on Facebook to announce the tragic loss of her brother. She expressed: "Never ever thought I'd have to write this post my beautiful brother has left us today. I'm so distraught you've gone, I will never come to terms with it that your no longer here. Forever 24 RIP Daniel Duffield I'll always miss you and love you forever. Until we meet again, rip brother."

Daniel's loved ones have spoken about his 'struggles' prior to his passing, although the connection to his death remains uncertain at this time. His friend Jasmin Steed paid homage by saying: "I know you were going through a rough patch but you always seemed like you had a grip of it. We would talk it out and you would post pictures and videos of you smiling, and travelling all over the world for concerts and shows."

"You seemed happy, even though you were not. And I keep replaying the last few months wondering if I could've done more. So this is everybody's reminder that a smile can hide so much pain. Please check in on your mates regularly. I know we all pretend we live important busy lives but really, nothing is more important than the people around us."

"Dan, you saved so many lives both as a paramedic and as a friend, I'm so sorry we couldn't save yours. You held a special place in my heart, but now part of it will forever be broken. I hope you manage to find the happiness you brought to everyone else."

Detective Superintendent Nicki Addison, from Staffordshire Police's Major Investigations Department, expressed: "My thoughts are very much with the families at this time. I know this news has understandably shaken the local community. I'd like to reassure everyone that we've got a specialist team of officers working extensive hours to fully investigate what happened and support the families of those affected."

She urged anyone with information to come forward.
