Phoebe Philo is reportedly leaving Céline
If reports are to be believed, Phoebe Philo is set to leave Céline. The designer has been with the brand since 2008 and is credited with turning the somewhat fledgling label into a serious success story.
After news of Philo leaving surfaced, LVMH released a statement denying that she would be leaving imminently, but did not deny that she was in fact moving on.
“We categorically deny any imminent departure of Phoebe Philo from Céline,” a spokesperson said.
According to the Business of Fashion, there are a number of names being thrown into the mix to be her replacement. This includes former Stella McCartney design director, Natasa Cagalj, Céline’s ready-to-wear design director, Michael Rider and Ilaria Icardi, the design director at Victoria Beckham.
