Peyton Manning Looks Stunned While Arnold Schwarzenegger Coos at His Pet Donkey on ‘ManningCast’

The "Terminator" star's donkey Lulu tuned in for Monday Night Football with the former NFL stars

Peyton Manning couldn't believe his eyes when Arnold Schwarzenegger's donkey made an unexpected appearance on Monday.

As the Terminator icon, 76, joined Peyton, 47, and his brother Eli Manning on the 'ManningCast' to break down the Los Angeles Chargers' game against the New York Jets, Schwarzenegger surprised the former NFL stars with a special guest.

The actor's donkey, Lulu, nearly filled the broadcast screen as she took bites from a snack in Schwarzengger's hands during her ESPN debut.

"Oh — what is...what is that?," Eli, 42, asked, unable to get Schwarzengger's attention.

"That donkey looks like you eating, Peyton," Eli joked as his brother looked stunned by the donkey's cameo on their show.

Eli stumbled through his introduction of the former California governor to 'ManningCast' viewers, nearly becoming distracted by Lulu's commanding presence and Schwarzenegger's reassuring murmurs of "Oh, yes," to his pet donkey.

After eating her snack, Lulu seemed to lose interest in Monday Night Football and let the former athletes continue their NFL commentary.

Schwarzenegger is a huge animal lover, his friend and former Twins co-star Danny Devito said during an interview earlier this year with The Sunday Times, adding that his stable of pets rule his home.

"The animals just roam around all over the place — they're coming to getcha! Ha ha," joked DeVito.

Indeed, the actor/politician has featured his pet donkeys getting free rein in the house on his social media, and he has a miniature pony in his backyard that his daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt says is kept mostly to amuse his granddaughters, Eloise Christina, 18 months, and Lyla Maria, 3.

And during An Evening with Arnold Schwarzenegger in June, the actor said he's getting his grandchildren obsessed with animals like him.

"And I tell you one thing that my grandchildren, see, Katherine, my oldest daughter has two girls and she comes over with [the] two girls like once a week and just plays around with the animals," Schwarzenegger shared. "And those kids have such a fun time."

"I never thought this is going to be the additional kind of joy they have because I just love animals because I grew up on a farm in Austria and I always enjoyed animals."

"But I mean, my grandkids really loved it," he said. "And it gives me another way of kind of like really having them come to the house regularly. Having them enjoy themselves and then feed them."

Schwarzenegger added, "You have to kind of teach those kids right away when they're very little young. If you have to also do that, that's part of raising those animals. It's really fantastic."

Despite the unconventional choice in pets, Schwarzenegger noted that his animals are actually housetrained and easy enough to care for. "Most people think, oh my, you have to clean up the stuff all the time."

"So with all these animals, there's never an accident in the house. And like I said, they really roam around the house and walk around. They're in and out," he concluded.

And while his donkey was roaming through the at-home set on Monday night, the Chargers dominated the Jets, defeating New York 27-6.
