Peter Andre shares sad family regret as he films new TV series - 'It's not fair'
Peter Andre has opened up about his busy work schedule that's taken him to multiple countries in the space of a week. The Mysterious Girl singer flew to Dubai to perform at a music festival then over to Cyprus to film for a new, upcoming TV drama, all before heading back home to the UK. However, being away from his family, the singer muses, is never easy and in this week's exclusive column, he says it's 'not fair' for Emily to 'hold the fort'.
He also discussed how he's backing Prince William's quest to introduce CPR training in schools, sends his love to Adele and reminisces on his wedding day to wife Emily...
Going here, there and everywhere
It’s been a busy week as I jetted abroad for work – I flew to Dubai to perform at Mixtape Festival , then back to Cyprus to continue filming with Cork Films for a brand new drama. I enjoy being busy and love my work, but it does mean I sometimes miss out on things, like Halloween with the kids. I’ll be back for Bonfire Night though and we’ll do something as a family for that. At home, I like to be very hands-on with the baby too so I can make up for when I’m not there, as it’s not fair for Emily to constantly hold the fort.

I'm backing Prince William
It was announced that Prince William is backing a quest to change the law to make CPR training part of the school curriculum, and I completely agree. I don’t understand why it’s not a part of it already? Children go to school to learn vital, important skills – so why isn’t one that can help save a life included in that? I also think life-saving swimming should be part of the curriculum. It’s great to see Prince William supporting it, hopefully it will help drive change.
Living the dream
Junior and Princess are continuing to work hard on their careers at the moment, with Princess just landing the cover of a magazine and Junior focusing on his acting and song-writing. When I was a teenager I was so driven. I still am. I think it’s normal for any child to follow in similar footsteps to their parents. It’s up to them what they do with those opportunities.
Love to Adele
I heard recently about Adele’s ear infection that left her partially deaf. She said the pain was worse than childbirth and I can only imagine how tough that must have been for her. Many people in entertainment suffer with things that can affect their performance and the difficulty is having to cancel shows that people have already paid for, but health always has to come first. It must have been horrible for Adele. For her to cancel a gig, she must have been in a lot of pain.
First dance memories
I read that Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody is the most popular wedding song of all time – what a tune! It just shows, sometimes the classics are the best. Emily and I had Eva Cassidy’s Songbird as our first dance – a moment I’ll never forget. On that note, many may not know that I wrote a wedding song called Rest Of My Life, with one of my favourite ever artists, Brian McKnight. It’s popular in certain parts of the world – maybe it will become popular here one day.
