Peter Andre reveals two lovely girls' names in running for baby daughter – as he and Emily can't decide
Peter Andre has shared an adorable update on his and wife Emily MacDonagh's naming saga for their new baby girl. The couple, who welcomed their bundle of joy earlier this month, have been in a bit of a pickle trying to settle on the perfect name for the newborn.
In the meantime, they've affectionately nicknamed her 'bubba', but the 51 year old pop star also took to Instagram to engage with his fans about potential names.
Peter then revealed that they've narrowed it down to two beautiful choices and admitted: "Athena is also in the running. Not sure how ems feels about it but I LOVE it." He also told another fan that "Charlotte is also in the running. I like Charlie."
This sweet revelation comes shortly after Peter expressed his love for his youngest daughter, whilst praising Emily's incredible mothering skills, as reported by the Mirror.
He gushed over his family, saying: "The love I have for our baby is one thing. The love I have for Emily is another love altogether. What an incredible mum she is and what a truly beautiful gift she has given us. We all love bubba so much. And she STILL has no name."
Peter and Emily have been swamped with name suggestions for their new baby ever since, but it seems that none have tickled their fancy just yet. But dad of five Peter has confessed he's leaving the baby-naming up to Emily: "We are still no closer to a name for our newest bundle of joy. Any time Emily and I talk about it, it just gets put aside.
"Since Emily and I agreed for her to be the one to choose, it seems to have slowed down the process even more," he revealed exclusively to OK!
He also disclosed that they face a tight deadline to settle on a name after divulging they have "less than four weeks before we have to register her".
Emily, 34, recently welcomed their newest member to the family, with the newborn weighing in at 7lb 3oz, delivered at Musgrove Hospital in Taunton, Somerset. At the time of her arrival, Peter announced the news on Instagram.
He wrote: "Mum and daughter are doing amazing. Born Tuesday 2nd April 2024, 7lb 3oz and thankfully very healthy. Baby has been spoilt with cuddles from Junior, Princess, Amelia and Theo who are all in love with their new little sister."
