Peter Andre breaks silence on new mental health battle after devastating symptoms
With 2025 just around the corner, singer Peter Andre has not only shared his top 2024 moment - but also what he has struggled most with throughout the year. Although welcoming baby Arabella with wife Emily was an 'ultimate highlight' for him, the star revealed he's been experiencing feelings of anxiety, especially when it comes to his mum's deteriorating health.
Looking towards the new year, however, Peter shared his hopes to visit his elderly parents over in Australia. Elsewhere in his exclusive column, Peter also talks about exciting career plans and some very special milestones the family will be marking in 2025...
Family milestones
There are many milestones to mark in 2025. I want to go away with the family to celebrate my 52nd birthday, mine and Emily’s 10-year wedding anniversary and Princess’ 18th. Oh, and not to mention Arabella’s first birthday. And, if all is well, Mum and Dad will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary, too. It’s a big year for our family and I feel so lucky and privileged to have so many things to celebrate.

Top 2024 moment
This year has been incredible, and definitely one to remember. Emily and I welcomed our baby Belle – who is now eight months old – into the family, and that has been the ultimate highlight for me. When I look at all my kids, I just think about how lucky I am.
New Year celebrations
New Year will look a bit different for us, but we’ll find a way to celebrate as a family. On 31 December, I’ll be at rehearsals for the New Year’s Day Parade in London – then performing at it the following day – and Emily is at a wedding. My father-in-law will be with the kids for a while – we’ll all come together to make it work. I just feel lucky that people still allow me to do what I love and I don’t take it for granted. If my calculations are correct, this will be my 20th year writing my column… thank you so much to all my loyal readers. I’d like to wish everyone a big Happy New Year!
Low point of the year
Although I’ve had a lot of highs in 2024, I did experience feelings of anxiety that I haven’t had for a long time, especially to do with my mum’s health. I think that’s why I spoke a lot more about mental health, because I wanted to be open and admit that things aren’t always great. I like to think of myself as a positive person but, truthfully, I have found parts of this year quite hard. Arabella has brought us such joy but I can’t help worrying about Mum. I’m planning a trip to Australia to visit her – I can’t wait to see Mum and Dad.
Here's to 2025!
Next year is a huge one for me from the get-go. Starting from mid-January, I’ll be starring in the touring production of The Best Of Frankie Valli And The Four Seasons until March. Then, straight on from that, I’ll be filming a new drama called Falcon. I’m really excited about that as we’ll be filming in Malta for two weeks. Then, I’ve also got my first album in 10 years coming out. I’m working on it at the moment and I can’t wait for you all to hear! All this aside, my first feature film Jafaican will finally be realised and the drama I was working on in 2024 will finally be out. I'll try and sleep at some point, too!
