People are losing their minds over this suit company's same-sex fashion campaign

People are having strong reactions to a stylish campaign featuring same-sex couples from menswear company Suitsupply.

On Tuesday, the global suit store known as the “JetBlue of Suits” for its affordability, unveiled its Spring-Summer 2018 ads starring all-male couples in various high-fashion poses.

A Suitsupply representative sent Yahoo Lifestyle the following statement on behalf of founder and CEO Fokke de Jong:

“The Suitsupply Spring ad campaign celebrates individuality and love. At Suitsupply, everyone can find their perfect fit in clothing and in life, and we mean everyone. This is true to our brand and our culture. We are proud of who and what we stand for.”

In a press release, De Jong also said, “The attraction between people is an important part of fashion advertising. A campaign featuring the attraction between men was long overdue and particularly relevant for our brand.”

Fashion gets more diverse by the day, from Burberry‘s “Wrapped In Love” campaign shown during London Fashion Week to retailer Missguided’s new mannequins with vitiligo and stretch marks and the explosion of plus-size models in recent years.

“The fashion industry has always been at the forefront of LGBTQ inclusion and visibility, often with great social impact,” Zeke Stokes, vice president of programs at GLAAD, tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “By featuring LGBTQ couples in its campaign, Suitsupply is sending a global message of love and acceptance — all while making a smart business decision.”
