Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony: All The Moments You Might Have Missed
The Paris Olympics have officially come to a close and we’ve finally passed the finish line.
It’s hard to believe that after two weeks of history-defining and meme-able moments, the Games is finally over, and we have just over two weeks until we’re greeted to another round of athletic greatness with the Paralympic Games.
Of course, the City of Love had to finish in style, with athletes and fans gathering at the Stade de France, with the Olympic flame being passed over from Paris to the next Games’ hosts, Los Angeles.

Here are the most important moments you might have missed from the Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony:
Numerous athletes tripped over the ceremony carpet
Inside the Stade de France, several athletes almost took an unexpected tumble on walking out onto the carpet-covered pitch, much to the amusement of viewers.

Opera singer Benjamin Bernheim sang ‘Hymn to Apollo’
While the music played, pianist Alain Roche rose from a dangling piano, wearing a costume made of VHS tape.
Yes, that is a piano suspended in mid-air! 🎹

H.E.R. sang the US national anthem
The Californian native, Grammy, Emmy and Oscar-winner performed ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ in a full white look to the crowd in France.
Tom Cruise jumped from the top of the Stade de France
The actor was seen propelling himself down from the top of the stadium before receiving the Olympic flag from Team USA gymnast Simone Biles and LA mayor Karen Bass. He then proceeded to drive driving through the Parisian streets on the back of a motorbike, jumped off the back of a plane, and turned the Hollywood sign into the Olympic rings.
The segment, which was largely filmed in advance of the ceremony, led many viewers to question whether the Hollywood sign is currently decorated with the Olympic rings, which we can confirm is untrue.

Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish, Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg performed from Long Beach
The musicians were seen on LA's Long Beach performing in an array of Ralph Lauren USA clothing. They were surrounded by large sand castles, with the band playing 'Can’t Stop,' Eilish and her brother Finneas singing 'Birds of a Feather', and Dr Dre and Snoop singing ' Drop It Like It's Hot' and 'The Next episode'.
Yseult closed the ceremony with Frank Sinatra's ‘My Way’
The French singer was dressed head to toe in Dior Haute Couture, paying tribute to the brand’s rich history in France. The outfit featured a black silk New Bar jacket (an interpretation of Christian Dior’s ‘New Look’ from the 1940s), styled with a black silk skirt, hat, gloves and shoes.
