Paris Hilton took inspiration from Grace Kelly with her Oscar de la Renta wedding dress

Paris Hilton had her fairytale bridal moment over the weekend, walking down the aisle in a custom Oscar de la Renta gown, inspired by Grace Kelly.

The socialite married Carter Milliken Reum in Bel-Air, Los Angeles, at an estate that belonged to her late grandfather, Barron Hilton.

The bride's elegant gown featured a high-neckline, lace sleeves, cascading pressed flowers and a full ballgown skirt - comprised of 20 layers of tulle over a crinoline petticoat - styled with a cathedral-length veil covered in embroidered flowers. She finished her look with sparkling diamond earrings, which she showed off by sweeping her hair back into a chic updo.

Hilton explained that she'd always dreamed of walking down the aisle in a "stunning gown that was beautiful, timeless and chic".

“I loved Princess Grace Kelly and always thought about how she was so elegant and iconic, and I knew I wanted to be elegant like her when I walked down the aisle,” Hilton captioned a post on Instagram following her nuptials.

“My wedding day felt like pure magic. It was everything I had envisioned in my mind. My incredible Oscar de la Renta gown transformed me into the bride I knew I would one day become. It was right out of a storybook. Dreams do come true.”

The beautiful gown was hand-embroidered by eight modistes over the course of 1,400 hours in the Oscar de la Renta New York atelier. Hilton's young nieces, Teddy and Lily-Grace, looked adorable in matching custom Oscar de la Renta floral frocks.

"Standing hand in hand at the altar, my heart skipped a beat," Hilton wrote in another Instagram post, in tribute to her new husband. "It was one of the most incredibly magic and loving feelings I’ve ever felt in my life. I had found my missing piece. To me, you’re more than my husband. You’re my best friend, my teacher, my lover, my confidant, and the father of our future children. I am so proud to stand beside you as your wife. There was a piece of me that always felt I had to go on this journey of life by myself, but now I know the stars were just aligning for us to find each other again. I’m so excited for the future we will create together."

For the evening reception, the bride changed into another dress by the American brand - which is helmed by design duo Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim - this time in the form of a taffeta mini-dress, with a Bardot neckline and 3D flower embroidery.

Reum proposed to Hilton on a private island in February 2021, on a holiday planned as part of her 40th birthday celebrations. The heiress has documented her engagement and wedding planning process as part of a new docu-series, Paris in Love, available to stream on Peacock TV now.
