Paris Hilton Celebrates Son Phoenix’s Birthday With a Lavish Party and Petting Zoo
Oh, how the time flies. It feels like it was just yesterday that Paris Hilton announced she was adding “mom” to her long list of titles, with the birth of her son, Phoenix. But it wasn’t yesterday. It was a year ago, which means there was a big milestone to celebrate this week.
Paris and husband Carter Reum quietly welcomed Phoenix on January 16, 2023, via surrogate. To commemorate their baby boy’s first full trip around the sun, the heiress, pop culture icon, and DJ threw a grand “Sliving Under the Sea”–themed birthday party on Saturday.
The Little Mermaid appeared to leap out of the TV screen and into Paris' backyard, as the mom of two brought the whimsical fairy tale to life with a huge whale balloon, smaller fantastical fish balloons, hoards of balloons in vibrant oceanic colors, mermaid statues, glittering tinsel, larger-than-life seashells, Greek columns, a big white arch with “Phoenix” written across it in sky-blue letters, and inflatable coral, seaweed, and starfish everywhere. Paris didn’t stop there—she added real-life land animals into the mix with a petting zoo that featured goats, chickens, bunnies, sheep, and a beautiful white pony.
In addition to being the most gracious, loving host, Paris looked like a princess. She channeled Cinderella in a lavish, sweeping ball gown that featured a sweetheart neckline, a wide A-line skirt, dramatic puffy sleeves, and frilly detailing, all in a playful sky pattern of periwinkle blue and cloudy white. She continued the theme by adding a glittering star charm necklace, white cat-eye sunglasses, and a shimmering star-adorned tiara. The boy of the hour looked adorable in brown khaki pants, a white polo shirt that featured a two-tone brown collar with “Fendi” across the side, white Velcro sneakers, retro white circle-frame sunglasses, and a cream baker-boy cap.
“I’m so excited,” Paris said, holding Phoenix in her arms in an Instagram Story post. “I’ve thrown amazing birthday parties all my life, so to now be able to do this for my little boy, it’s such a special memory.”
Paris and Carter celebrated another monumental family moment two months ago, when they welcomed a second child, a baby girl named London.
