Mother of seven Paris Fury took to Instagram on Wednesday 18 December to comment after husband Tyson admitted he hadn’t spoken “one word” to her during training ahead of his boxing match against Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday 21 December in Saudi Arabia. Oleksander previously beat Tyson, stripping him of the WBC heavyweight title.

Tyson originally spoke of his training regime to boxing commentator Dev Sahni, revealing: “I'll be flying home for Christmas, plenty of eggnog and mince pies and turkeys and all. I can't wait for Christmas. I wish [the fight] was tonight. It's been a long camp being away from your wife and kids in three months. I've not spoken to Paris three months, not one word.”

The couple, who have been married for 16 years, have not been in contact while Tyson has been away at training camp, and in Paris’s post she reposted his interview and wrote: “People don't see the sacrifices made. I've let him solely concentrate on this fight. It seems like he's been gone forever especially with no contact but if it's what he needs.”

Fans commented on her post, asking why such a severe regime was needed. One wrote: “This isn't inspiring, instead this is just sad. He's abandoned his family for months. He could at least pick up the phone. Poor Paris,” while another said: “Why wouldn’t you speak to your wife and kids? I don’t get that at all.” A third added: “I don’t care who you are or what you’re up to, there is no excuse to not speak TO YOUR WIFE for 3 whole months. Just unnecessary in this day and age. He can spare 5min to do a televised interview yet can’t spare 20 seconds to text Paris?? Pfffft. Not worth it.”

Paris has also showed her commitment to her husband further by sharing a snap of her and eldest son, Prince, on her social media. The mother and son are jetting off, first class, to meet Tyson in Saudi Arabia ahead of his Saturday fight. Captioning the snap with: "On our way" the pair looked in great spirits and ready to lend their support for what will be the biggest sporting night in Tyson's career.

In a heart-wrenching twist, Paris exclusively told OK! that she suffered a miscarriage just a day before Tyson's defeat by Usyk in May, a fact she kept from him until he returned home. Paris shared her dilemma, saying, "I had to make the decision, do I tell him? And I came to the conclusion that whatever was happening with me, I couldn't change it."

"But I could change dramatically what was happening in his life," she said, and confessed to fabricating a story about having high blood pressure to avoid flying and sparing him the devastating news.

She also shared the devastating moment a gender scan revealed something was wrong. "The sonographer said to me, 'I'm really sorry, Paris, there's no heartbeat.' I jumped up, started to cry, and said, 'No, hold on, hold on. No, no, wait,' and went all frantic," she said.
