Parents cry happy tears when their long-distance daughter pays them a Thanksgiving visit

Without fail, Thanksgiving is one of the biggest travel periods of the year with people descending on their loved ones from near and far. However, few commutes will be as long as the one undertaken by Teige Zeller.

Teige had been living in Australia for three years but promised her parents, Marty and Gae Zeller, that she’d be back in the U.S. in early December in time to share a family Christmas. However, with help from her brother, Zanen, Teige had other plans.

In secret, she hopped a flight from Down Under, traveling more than 8,000 miles to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where her brother had arranged with their parents to have dinner at the Aussie-themed restaurant Outback Steakhouse. At the table, her parents got on a call with their daughter hoping to make it a family affair. But as they chatted, Marty and Gae discovered they had a surprise guest for dinner.
