I’ve spent many a night lying awake thinking how cool it would be if someone produced Christmas wrapping paper that smelt like my favourite food: pizza.

Okay, so that’s not technically true, but I’m still dead excited about Papa John’s doing exactly that.

As well as its smashing Christmas Dinner Pizza and Mince Pie Scrolls, Papa John’s is also getting into the festive spirit with its pizza-scented wrapping paper.

It comes in two designs, with the first not only smelling like a pizza but also looking like one too, with a tasty pepperoni print.

The second is a collaboration between the pizza delivery chain and graphic artist, Mike Hughes, and is a ‘Where’s Wally’ style illustration. It showcases a wintery wonderland filled with festive fictional characters, igloo pizza ovens and pizza DJ decks.

The wrapping paper is part of Papa John’s new Christmas merchandise range, which also includes hoodies, phone cases, and even a bean bag. Profits are going to homelessness charity Crisis, so it’s all for a great cause.

Papa John’s Marketing Director, Giles Codd, said: “The festive range of collectables forms a part of our ‘Christmas is Better Shared’ campaign and is a fun way to help spread the Christmas spirit beyond our delicious pizzas.

“We’re really proud to be working with Crisis, a charity that aims to eradicate homelessness and provides vital services to people in the UK at one of the hardest times of the year. We hope that the money raised will help toward Crisis continuing the fantastic work they do not just at Christmas, but throughout the whole year.”
