'The palace could have killed the feud stories quickly'

Speculation of a rift between the Cambridges and Sussexes began at the end of 2018, but one PR expert thinks the rumours could have been dispelled quicker with a joint engagement.

Speaking on Yahoo UK's 'The Royal Box,' Nick Ede says: “They could have killed these stories pretty quickly and they could have made it much, much sharper, even just getting them all out together on some kind of event and having them all out together laughing and smiling,”

While they’ve attended annual official events such as Trooping the Colour and the Remembrance Day and Commonwealth Day services, the foursome have only had one charity engagement together - The Royal Foundation Forum in February 2018.

But royal editor Robert Jobson believes William, Kate, Meghan and Harry probably won’t have gone along with that idea, if suggested to them, “because there was something to the story.”
