Pack Your Swimming Trunks! Woburn's Elephants Take A Dip To Beat UK Heatwave. Woburn Safari Park’s female Asian elephants Chandrika, Damini, and Tarli have donned their swimming trunks to beat Britain’s heatwave in late June 2024. The trio has their own private swimming pool in the shape of the Woburn Estate’s Drakeloe Lake. It is the ideal swimming spot for the three girls as it is nestled in the hundreds of acres of secluded woodland surrounding the safari park. The park’s dedicated elephant team walked the trio through the forest before they took a refreshing dip in the water to beat the heat. Chandrika, Damini and Tarli were seen having a splashing time, using their trunks as snorkels and trumpeting loudly to celebrate their fun!
