P!nk Shares Rare Photos with Husband Carey Hart in Honor of Their Anniversary
P!nk fans were more than happy to raise a glass to the singer's hit of the same name back in 2010, but recently they're doing so for an even bigger reason.
The Funhouse songwriter, 44, took to social media on January 7, sharing a gallery of photos of her and her husband Carey Hart, 48, in celebration of their 18th wedding anniversary. It included shots from when they first met, their 2006 wedding in Costa Rica, red carpet photos together for awards shows and more recent pics with their two kids Willow, 12, and Jameson, 6.
Paired with a heartfelt caption with references to a lifetime of love together with lines like "you are my stubborn, beautiful, immovable rock," and "the family we’ve built and the stories we have weaved together and the memories we continue to make are worth more than a thousand million awards that anyone could give me," fans were quick to flock to the comment section — especially since the lengthy post also referenced the fact that these 18 years together were not without struggle.
"Congratulations. Loyalty, commitment and faith in each other are beautiful," someone commented on the Instagram post. "Wow. Y’all have been THE couple since I was a teenager/young adult. Cheers to the both of you!" someone else wrote. One person chimed in, "You should be proud. Marriage isn't (always) easy. It takes strength to make it work. Happy Anniversary!". A different person said, "Yup. That’s what it is. To the fullest. I’m only hitting 10 years this year but I feel this. Real love is dirty and always worth fighting for. Thank you for being real and happy anniversary ❤️”
Many fans applauded the "So What" singer's honesty in discussing the ups and downs in marriage, especially when she said, "Love is a lifetime of coming back to the table. We almost didn’t make it to this one, well a couple of them, if I’m being honest," and later on in the caption writing, "But man if I’m not humbled by the surprise of loyalty, history, forgiveness, and resilience. How love rearranges itself and reappears after an empty night or five." And this honesty isn't new. Back in 2020, according to US Weekly, P!nk got real about couples counseling on Instagram Live, crediting it for keeping the two together and helping them communicate better with one another.
"You need someone to hear both of you and then translate it for you, and without [therapist] Vanessa translating for me for the last 18 years, I mean, we would not be together,” she said, according to US Weekly.
The sweet social media post honoring the couple's almost two decades together comes after the Doylestown, PA native had a health scare and family medical issues to deal with last October, forcing her to cancel performances for her Summer Carnival leg of her Trustfall tour. But lucky for fans, the "Just Like Fire" performer quickly recovered, wrapping up the 2023 leg of the tour and adding more dates to her show featuring Sheryl Crow, The Script and KidCutUp. The second leg is set to start this upcoming summer in June 2024 in the UK.
