“It’s outrageous; the best one I've ever found”: this is the lip balm Keira Knightley swears by
While the official start of spring is just weeks away, the cold snap persists, and lips keep suffering. So it's a good time to be armed with a protective, nourishing lip treatment, and tapping into those that the A-list swear by is an excellent place to start.
“I’ve tried every lip balm going but this one is outrageous... it’s like a bit of treasure – and I don’t have much left," says Keira Knightley of her favourite: La Mer The Lip Balm. "It’s the best one I’ve ever found; it gives [the lips] a nice, silky gorgeousness. I don’t like it when lip balms are sticky, and there’s nothing sticky about this little guy. It’s a treasured possession.”
This tiny pot of wonder is also a favourite on the Bazaar beauty desk and, while it's not inexpensive (a fact that Knightley is quick to point out), it's worth every penny. Plant extracts and seed oils abound in this formula, which has been painstakingly developed to give the lips a beautifully hydrated, cushion-y feeling, without any stickiness or greasiness.

"I was wearing dark lipstick on Wednesday, and because it was really matte, it was drying my lips out. This is thick and dense and if you put it on before bed, your lips feel full and rejuvenated [by morning]," says Ortega.
