Orphaned Alaskan Bears Celebrate 4th July Holiday At Chicago's Brookfield Zoo

Orphaned Alaskan Bears Celebrate 4th July Holiday At Chicago's Brookfield Zoo. Brookfield Zoo Chicago’s brown bear siblings, Jess and Tim have been celebrating Independence Day by wolfing down their 4th of July-themed goodies. Animal care staff froze a variety of the bears’ favorite fruits in red, white, and blue ice blocks. The bears, who can be seen at the Zoo’s Great Bear Wilderness, seemed to enjoy their patriotic treats as much as their fellow Americans love the 4th July holiday. They are at the Zoo due to their tragic past, as in November 2023, the Zoo provided a forever home for the two young bears after they were orphaned in Anchorage, Alaska.
