Oreo fans gag over Sour Patch Kids cookies: ‘I wouldn’t give these to my worst enemy’
Oreo has released a new cookie flavor — and fans have had a sour reaction toward the unconventional collab.
Oreo has teamed up with Sour Patch Kids to reveal the brand’s first-ever sour cookie, the new limited-edition aptly named Oreo Sour Patch Kid Cookies.
The cookie looks like a Golden Oreo but is Sour Patch Kids flavored with colorful inclusions, and the creme filling has even more color to bring a “sweet yet sour taste.”
These limited-edition cookies haven’t even hit shelves yet — they’ll be available in stores on May 6 — and customers are already slamming the new collaboration.
“I wouldn’t give these to my worst enemy ewww,” one person confessed.
“Gonna be good for our business,” flushable wipes brand Dude Wipes joked.
“I love Oreos and Sour Patch Kids but I don’t think I’ll be trying these
,” one fan said.
“We need to bring back natural selection,” another joked.

Oreo and Sour Patch Kids, which are Mondelēz sister brands, are also releasing a merch line to celebrate the collaboration, including a matching crewneck and joggers “snack suit” set, a bucket hat, socks, hair clips and a belt bag.
“The OREO brand is always looking for playful ways to excite our fans. What better and more unexpected way to do that than letting Sour Patch Kids playfully takeover our cookie?!” Caroline Suppiger, OREO Senior Associate Brand Manager, said in a statement.
“The opportunity to partner with our friends at the OREO brand to create a mischievous twist on a classic cookie was one we just couldn’t pass up. We are both so excited to see the fan reaction to this sour-then-sweet limited-edition cookie,” added Grace Howard, Sour Patch Kids Innovation Brand Manager.
