Only Anya Taylor-Joy could make a beaded tasselled swim cap look chic AF
Ever since Anya Taylor-Joy touched down in the French Rivieria, she has not put a fashion foot wrong. ICYMI, the 2024 Cannes Film Festival has officially arrived, meaning plenty of red carpet events and stand-out fashion to boot. Hello, Heidi Klum in the biggest red princess ballgown we've ever seen.
But nothing and no one can overshadow Anya Taylor-Joy RN. The actress kicked off her Cannes style streak in a ruffled collar blouse. But, unlike the Jacquemus strapless see-through white dress she later stepped out in – accessorised with an oversized straw hat, natch – her daytime 'fit was actually from editor-approved high street brand Damson Madder. We love when an A-lister wears something we can actually afford to buy, because you best believe we immediately checked out with a blouse of our own.

Attending a photo call for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga alongside her co-star Chris Hemsworth, Anya stunned in a cream bouclé cropped jacket and midi pencil skirt co-ord from Jil Sander’s fall/winter 2024 collection.
Both the jacket and the matching skirt featured fringed hems, with the jacket's collar and cuffs also adorned with fringing detail. Adding extra drama to the edgy ensemble, Anya added a chainmail headpiece that didn't look too dissimilar from a swim cap adorned with beaded tassells around its entirety.
Possessing an old Hollywood 1920s aesthetic, the headdress paired with her thick black eyeliner brought the glamour the Cannes red carpet calls for. And this is only day three of the 11 day festival. Surely even Anya can't top this?
