The One ‘Game of Thrones’ Scene from Season 2 that You Have to Rewatch After the Series Finale

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

Regardless of your feelings about the finale of Game of Thrones, we can all agree that Daenerys's fate, though rushed, felt all but inevitable by the last episode, right up to the very moment Jon Snow plunged that little dagger into his aunt's heart.

Not that we're happy about it. We're actually pretty upset, thanks for asking.

Why it's so hard to wrap our head around the fact that one of our favorite characters in TV history, the Mother of Dragons and Breaker of Chains, descended into madness and decided to go on a killing rampage, shouldn't be that hard to comprehend.

One second, she was diplomatic, strong-willed, and an empowered female character that believed in her heart of hearts that she could liberate the world. The next, she was her father's child: a raging homicidal maniac with a penchant for burning innocent women and children alive. Cool, great, awesome. Thanks, guys.

But...and this is hard to even type...should we have seen Daenerys's end coming?

A pivotal Game of Thrones scene from season two says "yes."

Remember Dany's prophetic vision when she enters the House of the Undying in Qarth: She's in the remnants of the Red Keep, except it's destroyed and the roof is gone. She's walking toward the Iron Throne, as a white substance (presumed to be ash) falls around her. Just as she's about to touch the throne, her screeching dragons call her into a another vision: She's now north of the Wall and reunited with Khal Drogo and their child.

As you'll know after watching episode six of season eight, Dany's vision did, in fact, come true. In the series finale, Daenerys enters the destroyed throne room as ash falls around her. She approaches the Iron Throne. But instead of just holding out a hand, she finally touches it. She then speaks with Jon Snow, before he takes her life.

While many have argued that, because of the reality of how it all went down, the vision must've contained ash, what if it really was snow? As in, Jon Snow?

What if the vision signaled that, no, she would never really grasp the Iron Throne? Before she ever truly became a ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, she would be reunited with her dead loved ones.

BRB, going to rewatch all seven seasons to see what else we might've missed...
