While lockdown life has been challenging in many ways, one good thing to come out of not leaving the house for several months has been giving our skin the love and care it deserves.

So, imagine our delight when we heard of a dual-action skincare hero Hollywood superstar Margot Robbie "can't live without", that both exfoliates dead skin away - thus preventing impurities - and stops skin from drying out? Something we could all do with since facials aren't possible currently.

The Once Upon A Time in Hollywood actor is practically militant about taking her make-up off, telling Byrdie: "No matter how drunk I am, I don’t go to sleep with make-up on. As soon as I get home, I scrub it off." And when she's on a plane (which is "every five seconds", according to Robbie - but probably not at the moment), she hates the feeling of not being able to wash her face. So, she turns to Peter Thomas Roth Complexion Correction Pads (£29.95), which she says she "stumbled across" and make her face feel amazing in transit.

Containing the skincare superhero ingredients of both glycolic and salicylic acid (one on each side), the pads offer a visible brightening effect, thanks to the chemical exfoliators.

While the glycolic slogs away dead skin cells - which can cause dullness - the salicylic acid balances oil levels and helps to prevent blemishes, therefore leaving skin brighter, clearer and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

"Your skin is better after. They're really strong," Robbie explained.

With Robbie being native to Australia, married to a Brit and living and working in LA, she naturally spends long stints battling the drying effects of airplane air con, which is why she heavily relies on her arsenal of fail-safe beauty products to keep her skin toned and hydrated.

Another of these products is Aesop facial mists, which the Aussie actress can't get enough of. "I'm all about spritzes," she explained, "Aesop has really good facial mists that I have in my bag all the time."

We might not be flying anywhere right now, but these pads are perfect for staycations.
